Job summary

Modine is seeking an Internal Technician for night shift (3:00pm-1:30am, Mon-Thu) at the Calgary, AB site. The role focuses on installing coils, humidifiers, filters, and dampers in accordance with manufacturing standards.

Applicants should have Grade 12 education, be able to lift 50 lbs, and be comfortable in loud environments. Forklift and crane certification and OT availability are required; safety training provided.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must be able to work independently and stay organized.
• OT availability on weekdays and weekends when required.
• Forklift and Crane Operator certification is required.
• Must communicate effectively with co-workers and leaders.
• Comfortable in loud environments and wearing hearing protection.
• Steel-toed CSA boots required; fall protection training provided.
• Basic understanding of sheet metal and engineering concepts.
• Proficient with hand and power tools listed in responsibilities.
• Respirator use is a mandatory safety requirement.

Position Description

Scott Springfield by Modine is tier-1 supplier that offers scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial customers across North America. This is a Night Shift Position from 3:00pm-1:30am Monday-Thursday.

This role will be based at our 2234 Portland St SE location in Calgary Alberta.

Key Responsibilities

• Employee will be responsible for installation of coils, humidifiers, filters and dampers in accordance with Scott Springfield’s Manufacturing Standards.
• Employee is responsible to perform the above mentioned, and any other tasks assigned to them in a safe manner and in accordance with our Health & Safety Policies, JHA’s & SWP’s.
• Employee is responsible to understand and follow all Company Policies and Rules.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must demonstrate organizational skills and be able to work independently.
• Must exhibit safe work practices.
• Must be willing to work in other areas of our facility as required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing environment an asset
• Must be able work OT on weekdays and weekends when required.
• Forklift and Crane Operator certified.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with Co-Workers, Team Leads, Supervisors, Engineering, Quality and Health & Safety.
• Comfortable working in loud environments (hearing protection required).
• Steel toed boots (CSA Approved 6’ in height or greater) required.
• Comfortable working at heights (Fall Protection Training Provided).
• General understanding of engineering and sheet metal principles.
• Ability to use various hand & power tools (drills, grinders, chop saws, band saws, measuring tape, etc.).
• Safety Requirement – Respirator Use: This position may involve tasks requiring the use of a respirator. In accordance with occupational health and safety standards, all employees must be clean-shaven where the respirator seals to the face to ensure proper fit and protection. Compliance with this requirement is mandatory for employment in this role.
