Job summary

BEST Service Pros in Sidney, BC is seeking a dedicated cleaner to maintain clean, presentable and inviting common areas. You will be responsible for offices, washrooms, kitchens, and entrances, ensuring sanitation standards and orderly storage of supplies.

The role offers weekend and overnight shifts with hourly wage between CAD 21.20 and CAD 22.95. The company provides health and dental benefits, educational grants and opportunities for career advancement within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning duties in offices, washrooms and common areas.
• Knowledge of sanitation and disinfection procedures.
• Ability to pass background checks and RAIC clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, auditoriums, classrooms, washrooms, kitchens and dining areas.
• Ensure proper sanitation and disinfection procedures are followed.
• Replenish supplies as needed and manage waste disposal.
• Report equipment repairs and stock shortages.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning room upkeep.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

LOCATION:Sidney, BC
SHIFT DAYS/HOURS:Saturday and Sunday 3pm-10pm or Sunday-Thursday overnight 11pm-7am
WAGE: $21.20 - $22.95 per hour

JOB OVERVIEW:

You will be responsible for ensuring your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting. Some of the duties and responsibilities include maintaining common areas, and washrooms, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down the glass and other surfaces

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean offices, auditoriums, classrooms, washrooms, kitchen, dining areas, halls, entrances/exits, reception areas and more
• Ensure proper sanitation & disinfection procedures are followed
• Replenish supplies as needed
• Ensure garbage disposal in proper bins
• Clean all dry & wet spills throughout the facility as required
• Maintain & secure storage areas, cleaning equipment & materials in an orderly manner
• Report equipment repairs and stock shortages
• Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to use auto scrubbers, burnishers, carpet cleaning equipment, & tucker pole
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment
• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
• Ability to read & understand labels & instructions
• Previous custodial experience as an asset
• Acceptable security and criminal record check.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to pass RAIC Clearance and Canadian Background Check -preferred not required
