Job summary

BEST - For a Cleaner World in Vancouver, BC is seeking a full-time custodian for overnight shifts to keep offices, washrooms, kitchens, and common areas clean and inviting. Duties include sanitizing, restocking supplies, mopping, sweeping, and reporting maintenance needs.

The role features a overnight schedule (Friday–Tuesday), 23:00–07:00, with an hourly wage of 22.45 CAD and opportunities for training, career advancement, and educational grants.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ability to operate floor cleaning machines.
• Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System.
• Ability to read and understand labels and instructions.
• Previous custodial experience is an asset.
• Able to pass Canadian Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Clean offices, auditoriums, washrooms, kitchen, dining areas, halls, entrances/exits, reception areas and more;
• Ensure proper sanitization and disinfection procedures are followed;
• Replenish supplies as needed;
• Ensure garbage disposal in proper bins;
• Clean all dry & wet spills throughout facility as required;
• Maintain and secure storage areas, cleaning equipment and materials in an orderly manner;
• Report equipment repairs and stock shortages;
• Perform and/or report minor maintenance repairs;
• Report damage & acts of vandalism;
• Other duties as assigned

JOB OVERVIEW:You will be responsible for making sure your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. Some of the duties and responsibilities include maintaining common areas, washrooms, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down glass and other surfaces.
