Job summary

BEST is hiring a full‑time janitorial associate to keep buildings clean, presentable and inviting at all times. You will clean common areas, washrooms, sweep and mop floors, wipe surfaces and maintain cleaning equipment.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm. Temporary position from Aug 22 to Sept 30, 2026, paying $20.65 per hour. Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a Canadian background check.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial duties and basic sanitation.
• WHMIS certification is an asset.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to multiple sites.

• Cleaning and maintaining common rooms, kitchens, washrooms
• Sweep and mop floors
• Take out and properly dispose garbage
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition

JOB OVERVIEW:

You will be responsible for making sure your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting at all times. Some of the duties and responsibilities include maintaining common areas, washrooms, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down glass and other surfaces.

Shift Type: Full Time/ Temporary
Shift Days: Monday - Friday
Shift Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm
Pay Rate: $20.65/ hourly

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drive to multiple locations
• Cleaning and maintaining common rooms, kitchens, washrooms
• Sweep and mop floors
• Take out and properly dispose garbage
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Monitor and report any repairs or required replacements

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods
• WHMIS Certification an asset
• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
• Ability to lift, push and pull required load (up to 50lbs)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to pass Canadian Background Check
• Access to vehicle or other reliable transportation
