Job summary

Canadian Niagara Hotels Group of Companies in Niagara Falls is seeking a Cleaner to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in dining rooms, buffets, facilities and restaurant public areas across its hotels, spas, conference centres, restaurants and entertainment venues.

You will be responsible for cleaning floors (carpet and tile), windows, public washrooms, ledges, railings, chairs, dusting artificial plants, vents and trims, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work well with guests and coworkers.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in dining room, buffet, facilities, and restaurant public areas.
• Clean floors (carpet and tile), windows, and public washrooms daily.
• Clean wooden ledges, railings, chairs and benches; dust artificial flowers and water plants.
• Dust ceiling vents and door trims; polish brass signage and trim.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the dining room, buffet, facilities, and restaurant public areas, specifically:
• Cleaning floors, both carpet and tile
• Daily cleaning of windows and frames
• Cleaning public washrooms thoroughly
• Cleaning of wooden ledges, railings, chairs and benches
• Dusting of artificial flowers and watering plants
• Dusting ceiling vents and door trims
• Polishing brass signage and trim
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need as a Cleaner:

• Outstanding attention to detail as it pertains to cleanliness, presentability, and tidiness
• Excellent interpersonal skills with co-workers and guests
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as cooperatively within a team setting
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (i.e. lifting up to 50-lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching)
• Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
