Job summary

BEST - For a Cleaner World is seeking a custodian for overnight shifts in Edmonton, AB. The role focuses on keeping the building clean, presentable, and inviting, including cleaning common areas, washrooms, windows, and exterior tasks such as snow removal.

Expect 1–3 shifts per week with hours from 11pm to 6:45am. Competitive hourly pay above provincial minimum wage is offered, plus access to educational grants and team events; WHMIS certification is a plus and a Canadian background check is

• Requires ability to pass Canadian Background Check.
• Past custodial experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain multiple rooms, washrooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop floors and wipe surfaces; exterior cleaning tasks as needed.
• Snow removal and reporting repairs or replacements.
• Ensure a clean, presentable, and inviting building environment.

LOCATION:Edmonton, AB
SHIFT:Overnight Shift
Time/Days:11pm - 6:45am daily; Expect around 1-3 shifts per week

Job Overview:You will be responsible for ensuring your building looks clean, presentable, and inviting. Some of the duties and responsibilities include maintaining common areas, and washrooms, mopping, sweeping, and wiping down the glass and other surfaces along with exterior cleaning duties such as snow removal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning a variety of rooms, areas, and washrooms utilizing BEST - For A Cleaner World training and procedures.
• Hotel room cleaning
• Sweep and mop floors
• Clean windows and keep blinds dust-free
• Take out and properly dispose of garbage
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Monitor and report any repairs or required replacements
• Snow removal
• exterior cleaning

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods
• WHMIS Certification is an asset
• Physical stamina and mobility including the ability to reach, kneel and bend
• Ability to lift, push, and pull required load (up to 50lbs)

Requirements:

• Ability to pass Canadian Background Check
