Job summary

Cape Smokey in Ingonish, Nova Scotia is seeking a reliable House Cleaner to help create welcoming, sparkling spaces that guests love returning to. Perform routine cleaning, laundry and linen duties, and assist guests with requests to ensure a pleasant stay.

The role offers on-site housing options, free parking, and access to resort activities. Start date December 20, 2025, with 30–48 hours per week in a term position.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
• Dust furniture
• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
• Make beds and change sheets
• Distribute clean towels and toiletries
• Stock linen closet
• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
• Handle and report lost and found items
• Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items
• Provide basic information on facilities
• Pick up debris and empty trash containers
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Wash windows, walls and ceilings
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
