Job summary

Manitoulin Transport is seeking an independent owner-operator to join our Saskatoon terminal for local pick-up and delivery services. The operator will participate in the Carrier's Safety Code and Fleet Insurance Program as applicable.

Qualified candidates hold a Class One license, have about 1 year of experience, and can meet Hours of Service regulations. Forklift, TDG/WHMIS experience are assets, and a criminal record check, driver's abstract, and 2 references confirming service excellence are

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in loading/unloading freight and local pick-up/delivery
• Good understanding of Hours of Service regulations
• Forklift ticket is an asset
• TDG, WHMIS, and Forklift experience are an asset
• Must provide a criminal record check, driver’s abstract, and 2 references confirming service excellence

Responsibilities

• Meet regulatory requirements for pickups and deliveries within Saskatoon service area
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment
• Load and unload freight as required
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and service standards
• Operate within the Carrier's requirements and contract terms
