Job summary

Borealis Fuels & Logistics seeks a skilled Gas Fitter/Team Lead in Williams Lake, BC to guide the service team and perform A/B gas fitting work, with emphasis on safety, quality, and customer service.

You will mentor apprentices, coordinate tank projects, and help develop bulk storage facilities while ensuring CSA code compliance and service excellence. This role reports to the Area Manager and supports growth across Canada and the USA.

Qualifications

• Gas Fitter A/B certification/training in BC.
• PTI bulk handling and bottle fill courses completed.
• High school diploma is required.
• Class 3 license with air/crane experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Williams Lake service team.
• Mentor and coach apprentices and staff.
• Coordinate tank installations and tank swap-outs.
• Design, build, permit and service bulk storage facilities.
• Design, build, permit and service industrial gas distribution systems.
• Assist in business development activities and proposals for new clients.
• Ensure CSA B149.1 and B149.2 codes are applied in operations.

Job Description

Summary:

This position will be vital to the business's day-to-day and long-term goals. The individual needs to be highly motivated and able to work in a flexible environment. As Borealis continues to grow, the individual will have the opportunity to grow with the company.

This position will be responsible for leading and developing the service team in the Williams Lake,BC branch area. As a Class A/B gas fitter, Borealis expects this role to be split between coaching and mentoring an apprentice and performing A/B gas fitting work. Borealis considers this position essential to its operations in the British Columbia Area.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Area Manager.
• Support Borealis’ vision for LPG service excellence in the region
• Help Borealis build and lead a strong service team with skilled labour.
• Mentor and coach new employees and apprentices.
• Coordinate new tank installations and tank swap-outs.
• Design, build, permit and service bulk storage facilities.
• Design, build, permit and service industrial gas distribution systems.
• Participate in Business Development activities and initiatives when required.
• Install, repair, service, and replace propane gas appliances, regulators, gas meters, valves, burners, and vaporizers in residential, commercial, or industrial-related properties and areas.
• Perform new tank installations and tank swap-outs
• Work on liquid piping systems and install, repair and maintain vaporizers
• Support the Borealis team in estimating and preparing proposals for new commercial and industrial customers.
• Continue to develop knowledge of the CSA B149.1 and B149.2 codes and apply the rules.

Education/Experience:

• Minimum High School Diploma
• Gas Fitter schooling and apprenticeships for Gas Fitter A or B in British Columbia
• Bulk handling and bottle fill PTI-recognized courses
• Class 3 with air/crane experience (preferred but not required)
