Job summary

RJ MacLean Energy Services in the United States seeks a Class 1 Semi-Vac Truck Operator to perform site-ready heavy vehicle operations, pre/post trip inspections, and safe equipment handling on a rotational schedule.

Candidates must hold a valid Class 1 license with an air brakes endorsement, have 3+ years of vacuum truck experience, and be able to pass drug/alcohol testing; strong communication and safety certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 license with air brakes.
• Experience operating Semis Vac/Hydro Vac/Combo Vac units.
• Able to drive manual 13/18 speed transmissions.
• Instructor certified First Aid and H2S Alive.
• Strong communicator with staff, managers and other drivers.
• Willingness to travel and work a rotational shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment per company and customer expectations.
• Maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
• Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and required documents.
• Attend daily safety meetings and follow the safety program.
• Maintain safety tickets and site orientations as required.

Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment as per company and customer expectations
• Maintain equipment in accordance with company and manufacturer requirements
• Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and required documents.
• Attend daily safety meetings
• Follow the safety program, including all policies, procedures and practices
• Maintain valid safety tickets & site orientations as required

Qualification and Competencies:

• Minimum 3 Years, valid Class 1 License w/ Clean Abstract with Air Brakes
• Must be Experienced with the operation of a Semi Vac/ Hydro Vac/Combo Vac Unit
• 13 or 18 Speed Transmission experience (must be able to drive manual transmission)
• Strong communicator with staff, managers and other drivers
• Instructor certified First Aid & H2S Alive
• CSE, CSTS, Fall Protection, Ground Disturbance are considered assets
• Operate a heavy vehicle in challenging environments, in all weather, and in compliance with legal, company, and client requirements.
• Ability to pass pre-employment Fit to Work & Drug Alcohol Testing
• Must be physically fit to enter and exit the vehicle many times per day, inspect under vehicle and trailer, and climb.
• Willingness to Travel and work a rotational shift
