Job summary

LaPrairie Group of Companies is seeking a full-time Truck Driver with winch and lowbed experience for local work around Lloydminster, Alberta. Responsibilities include operating a winch truck, hauling commodities on multi-axle trailers, and maintaining safety and compliance with hours-of-service and inspections.

Must have a Class 1 license and a clean driving record. Rotational shifts and on-site work required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
• 3–5 years on/off highway driving experience.
• Equipment hauling experience required.
• Winch and lowbed truck operating experience required.
• Experience pulling 32-to-48-wheel trailer configurations.
• Rotational shifts including days and nights.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Solid communication skills for teamwork and independent work.
• Ability to navigate work sites and adapt to changing scopes.
• Acceptable drivers abstract (5 years minimum).

Responsibilities

• Operate a winch truck to winch load and unload equipment as required.
• Haul customer commodities with various multi-axle trailer configurations, including lowbed trucks.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and complete daily inspection reports.
• Adhere to Hours of Service and Logbook Regulations.
• Adhere to daily schedules set out by Dispatch & Supervisors.
• Complete daily paperwork / reporting accurately and on time.
• Promote safety culture and adhere to HSE policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck.
• Report all equipment repairs and maintenance requests to the Shop lead and Dispatch.

Skills
