Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Professional Class 1 Semi Vac Driver to join a safety-focused team in Canada. You will operate Semi Vac and related trucks to move hazardous and non-hazardous waste between generators and Clean Harbors facilities, conducting pre/post trip inspections and routine maintenance.

Night shifts and occasional out-of-town travel may be required. Company provided vehicles, comprehensive health benefits after 30 days, and RRSP with matching support a long with growth

Qualifications

• Currently hold a Class 1 license with experience driving manual transmission.
• Experience operating Semi Vac, heavy equipment and tanker/trailer units.
• Willingness to travel and work night shifts; physical ability and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Semi Vac and related equipment to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste to facilities.
• Perform loading/unloading, pre/post trip inspections, and routine maintenance.
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers and conduct roadside repairs as needed.
• Maintain and clean company equipment and ensure safety standards.

Clean Harbors is looking for Professional Class 1 Semi Vac Drivers to join our safety conscious team!

Our experienced EO/Drivers may also operate wet vac trucks, trailers, tankers, combo units, hydro vacs, and more to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste from generators to Clean Harbors facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operating and driving a Semi Vac and other equipment to and from work sites;
• Ensuring proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous goods;
• Performing pre and post trip inspections;
• Communicating clearly with dispatchers;
• Doing roadside repairs as needed;
• Maintaining and cleaning company equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently hold a Class 1 license.
• Experience driving manual transmission.
• Prior Semi-vac experience required.
• Ability to operate Combo units, Hydrovac, Wet vac, Trailers, Tankers is an asset.
• Prior experience in heavy equipment and vehicle operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to work a nightshift and travel of out town if needed.
• Willingness to complete a drug test, and physical.
