Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking Professional Class 1 Semi Vac Drivers to join our safety-conscious team in Canada. Drivers will operate wet vac trucks, trailers, tankers, and combo units to transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste from generators to Clean Harbors facilities.

This role requires manual transmission experience, the ability to work a night shift, and occasional travel out of town. Training and a strong safety culture are emphasized across the organization.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 1 license.
• Experience driving manual transmission.
• Prior Semi-vac experience required.
• Ability to operate Combo units, Hydrovac, Wet vac, Trailers, Tankers is an asset.
• Prior experience in heavy equipment and vehicle operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Willingness to work a night shift and travel out of town as needed.
• Willingness to complete a drug test and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Semi Vac and other equipment to and from work sites.
• Load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous goods.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers.
• Do roadside repairs as needed.
• Maintain and clean company equipment.
