Job summary

Vertex Resource Group Ltd. is seeking an experienced full-time Class AZ Fluids Operator for the Sarnia, ON area. The role involves driving and operating tank trucks and other heavy equipment in a safe, professional manner.

You will participate in the safety program, attend toolbox talks, and work as part of a team with coworkers, contractors, and customers. Travel to Vertex worksites and compliance with all regulations are expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Class AZ driver’s license with a clean driver abstract.
• 2 years’ experience driving tank trucks (fluid hauling) desired.
• Capable to operate Tri - Axle units and Super B trucks.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate equipment in a safe and professional manner.
• Participate in safety program by ensuring all company and customer policies & procedures are adhered to.
• Attend toolbox talks and safety meetings, FLRA’s, hazard assessment development, pre-trips/post-trips.
• Work as a team with coworkers, contractors, and customers.
• Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Ensure all safety certificate training are up to date.
• Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork within set timelines; this includes daily logs, waste manifests, etc.
• Travel as required to various customer and Vertex worksites; driving in all weather.
• Ability to lift heavy tools and parts.

• Compensation is commensurate with experience, and hours worked but can be within the range of ($7,000-$11,000/month)

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class AZ driver’s license with a clean driver abstract
