Job summary

Van Kam Freightways in Sidney, BC is seeking a Class 1 Driver to perform local city LTL deliveries and pickups in Victoria and surrounding areas. You will operate various tractor-trailer combinations to meet daily service needs.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, timely deliveries, accurate logs, and clear communication with dispatch and customers. You’ll be representing a customer-first, professional image.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of P&D experience.
• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (required).
• Clean driver’s abstract.
• Strong work ethic and safety-first attitude.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Comfortable operating a handheld computer device.
• Comfortable operating a manual pallet jack.

• Conduct pre-trips, en-route, and post-trip inspections.

• Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
• Represent our company with a customer-first, professional attitude.
