Gordon Food Service - Canada in Kamloops is seeking a Class 1 Local Delivery Driver to cover local delivery shifts. The position offers a starting rate of $35.94 per hour with potential to $41.97 after 12 months.

You will offload products, record delivery details, and handle payments as needed while maintaining vehicle safety and compliance. Excellent customer service and TDG readiness are valued as is reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Proven ability of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 80lbs.
• Eligibility for bonding and transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) certification.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• A high level of integrity and a strong work ethic, able to work with little supervision and be self-directed.
• Professional demeanor under stressful situations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Availability for holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include correctly offloading products, recording delivery information, accepting payment for goods when required, and ensuring operational vehicle safety in all aspects.
• The Class 1 Local Delivery Driver is expected to operate the vehicle in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules and regulations of the road, and following all appropriate company policies and procedures.

Position Overview

The Class 1 Local Delivery Driver will be responsible for covering delivery shifts out of Kamloops.
