Gordon Food Service in Kamloops is hiring a Class 1 Local Delivery Driver. You will cover delivery shifts from Kamloops with a 4:30 AM start, on a 3 x 12 schedule, and you will be home every day.

The role offers a starting rate of $35.94/hour, rising to $41.97/hour after 12 months, plus incentives after 3 months, benefits after 30 days, and a family-owned culture that values safety and service.

• Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Offload products correctly, record delivery information, collect payment when required, and ensure vehicle safety.

Position Overview

The Class 1 Local Delivery Driver will be responsible for covering delivery shifts out of Kamloops.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include correctly offloading products, recording delivery information, accepting payment for goods when required, and ensuring operational vehicle safety in all aspects.
• The Class 1 Local Delivery Driver is expected to operate the vehicle in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules and regulations of the road, and following all appropriate company policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
• Proven ability of lifting, pushing and pulling up to 80lbs
• Eligibility for bonding and transportation of dangerous goods (TDG) certification
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• A high level of integrity and a strong work ethic, able to work with little supervision and be self-directed
• Professional demeanour under stressful situations
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Availability for holidays and weekends
