Job summary

Herc Rentals in Canada is seeking a Class 1 Driver to transport, deliver and retrieve construction equipment in a safe, timely manner. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with a focus on professional service and safety.

Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 license, provide a recent driver’s abstract, and demonstrate at least 3 years of experience hauling heavy equipment on a 53ft flatbed with boom lifts. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 license required.
• Recent commercial driver’s abstract required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience driving a manual 53ft long flatbed hauling boom lifts.

Responsibilities

• Transport, deliver and retrieve construction and heavy equipment.
• Operate commercial vehicles safely and professionally.
• Perform vehicle inspections before/after deliveries.
• Maintain delivery paperwork and logs daily.
• Report damages or delays to Branch/central dispatcher.
• Ensure compliance with DOT policies during loading/unloading.
