Job summary

ClaimsPro LP in Mississauga, Ontario, is seeking a Claims Triage Specialist to join our in-office team. You will field new claims via email, fax, and phone, triage losses, document and enter data, and coordinate with claim units to respond to defined categories of loss events.

The role requires 3+ years in customer service, post-secondary education, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to work between 8:00 and 20:00, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education.
• Insurance industry experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a customer service/support role.
• Call center experience preferred.
• Excellent MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bilingual in English and French an asset.

Responsibilities

• Field and enter new claims reports received through email, telephone, and fax.
• Triage new claim notices and report to the appropriate layers or as instructed.
• Manage and distribute incoming email from seven zonal boxes.
• Identify immediate needs of new losses and coordinate responses.
• Provide training and mentoring to colleagues on processes.
• Generate ad-hoc statistical reports as required.
• Follow up with external insurers/adjusters regarding claim numbers and reserves.
