Job summary

IMARK Architectural Metals is seeking an experienced Journeyman Metal Cladding Installer to join our team in the Red Deer/Blackfalds, Alberta area. The role focuses on installing metal cladding systems on commercial, industrial and residential buildings, reading blueprints and ensuring precision and quality on every project.

You will operate tools, collaborate with managers and trades, and mentor apprentices while upholding safety protocols and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in metal cladding or related construction work.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of metal cladding systems, materials, and installation techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install metal cladding systems on a variety of structures, including commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine installation requirements.
• Measure, cut, and fit metal panels to ensure precise installation.
• Safely operate hand and power tools required for metal cladding installation.
• Perform site preparation and layout, including scaffolding and safety equipment setup.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and less experienced team members.
