Job summary

McBride Career Group Inc. is seeking skilled Cladding/Siding Installers to install exterior wall systems on commercial and multi-family projects in Calgary.

Candidates should have experience with metal panels, Hardie board, vinyl, composite systems, and aluminum cladding, and be comfortable working at heights outdoors year-round. You will read blueprints, install various siding systems, measure and cut materials, use hand and power tools, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience installing siding or exterior cladding systems.
• Familiarity with envelope systems and rain-screen assemblies.
• Comfort working with scaffolding, ladders, and lifts at heights.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.
• Basic English communication skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Fall Protection, WHMIS, and other safety certifications (preferred; can be provided by company).

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints for siding installation.
• Install various siding and cladding systems including aluminum, steel, composite panels, fiber cement, vinyl, and wood.
• Measure, cut, and fasten materials accurately for high-quality finishes.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure installations comply with building codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with site foremen, other installers, and general contractors.
• Maintain a clean, organized worksite and follow safety protocols.
• Report material shortages or damage to supervisors promptly.
• Adhere to project timelines and contribute to crew productivity.

The successful candidate will have experience working with various siding materials such as metal panels, Hardie board, vinyl, composite systems, and aluminum cladding, and must be comfortable working at heights and outdoors year-round.

Key Responsibilities

• Install various types of siding and cladding systems including:Aluminum, steel, and composite panels-Fiber cement (e.g., Hardie board)-Vinyl and wood siding-Soffit, fascia, flashing, trims, and moisture barriers
• Measure, cut, and fasten materials accurately to ensure high-quality finishes.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure installation complies with building codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with site foremen, other installers, and general contractors.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite and follow company safety protocols.
• Report material shortages or damage to supervisors promptly.
• Adhere to project timelines and contribute to overall crew productivity.
