We are looking for skilled, reliable, and safety-conscious Cladding/Siding Installers to install exterior wall systems on commercial, multi-family projects. The successful candidate will have experience working with various siding materials such as metal panels, Hardie board, vinyl, composite systems, and aluminum cladding, and must be comfortable working at heights and outdoors year-round.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints for siding installation.
- Install various types of siding and cladding systems including:Aluminum, steel, and composite panels-Fiber cement (e.g., Hardie board)-Vinyl and wood siding-Soffit, fascia, flashing, trims, and moisture barriers
- Measure, cut, and fasten materials accurately to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure installation complies with building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with site foremen, other installers, and general contractors.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite and follow company safety protocols.
- Report material shortages or damage to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere to project timelines and contribute to overall crew productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience installing siding or exterior cladding systems.
- Familiarity with common envelope systems and rain-screen assemblies.
- Comfort working with scaffolding, ladders, and lifts at heights.
- Knowledge of and commitment to occupational health and safety practices.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Basic English communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Fall Protection, WHMIS, and other safety certifications (preferred; can be provided by company).
