Job summary

WB Melback Corporation, based in Haileybury, Ontario, is hiring skilled exterior cladding installers. You will measure, cut, fit, and install cladding materials to meet project specs and building codes, reading blueprints and installation drawings to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience in cladding, siding, roofing, or general construction.
• Ability to read construction drawings and use measuring tools accurately.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Comfortable working at heights and knowledge of safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install exterior wall cladding systems per project specs and codes.
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit cladding materials (metal, vinyl, wood, etc.).
• Install flashing, trims, insulation, weather barriers, and waterproofing.
• Read blueprints and installation specs.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Ensure work meets quality and safety regulations.
• Perform inspections and repairs of cladding systems.
• Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts with fall protection.
• Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades to meet schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Install exterior wall cladding systems according to project specifications and building codes.
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit cladding materials, including metal panels, composite panels, vinyl, wood, fibre cement, and other exterior finishes.
• Install flashing, trims, insulation, weather barriers, and waterproofing systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and installation specifications.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety regulations.
• Perform inspections and repairs to existing cladding systems as required.
• Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts while following fall protection procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cladding, siding, roofing, or general construction is preferred.
• Ability to read construction drawings and use measuring tools accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
• Valid driver's licence may be required.
