Site Supervisor
Location: Vaughan Ontario
Salary: $75,000-$95,000 + RRSP Matching

Our client is a geotechnical consulting firm with more than 20 years of experience providing ground improvement solutions to clients in the public, private, and municipal sectors and is experiencing a period of rapid growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Supervisor looking for an established company that prioritizes employee engagement and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage crews on-site, ensuring alignment with the General Superintendent and Project Manager.
2. Coordinate work flow with crews, contractors, and subcontractors.
3. Ensure that site operations are conducted in accordance with the standards set out by the client, their customers, and the overall project objectives.
4. Work directly in a supervising role with subcontractors, maintaining a positive working relationship and ensuring work meets the required standards.
5. Collaborate regularly with the Project Manager to identify conflicts and challenges and bring them to resolution.
6. Lead site meetings and all employee orientation and safety training onsite.
7. Review all project drawings and specifications to understand the project, its scope, schedule, and possible concerns.

Requirements:

1. 5-10 years of construction experience with a focus in either heavy civil or geotechnical construction.
2. Experience with design-build construction.
3. College Diploma or University Degree in Civil Engineering.
4. Eligible to gain OCETT or PEO certification.
5. Strong planning and problem-solving skills are a must.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
7. Strong leadership skills with the ability to adapt quickly are an asset.
8. Mechanical aptitude is an asset.

Other Requirements:

1. Must have access to a vehicle and possess a valid G driver's license with a clean driving record.
2. Ability to travel to work on sites in the GTA and across Ontario (ability to stay in site city overnight is required).
