Job summary

A civil construction company in Chilliwack is seeking an experienced Civil Project Coordinator. This role involves coordinating project activities, ensuring quality control, and supporting civil construction projects. The ideal candidate has a degree in civil engineering and at least 4 years of relevant experience. Qualifications

• Successfully completed technical diploma or degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 4+ years' experience working within a contracting firm on civil construction sites.
• Understanding and competency using GPS and/or total station for surveying and layout.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities and develop project schedules.
• Perform quality control assessments and project inspections.
• Compile project submittals, RFIs, and complete reports.
• Assist Project superintendent with crew supervision.
• Perform other labour duties as required.
• Assist with site surveying and quantities.
• Coordinate quantity tracking and perform productivity analysis.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Manage junior project coordinators and interns.

Skills

Technical diploma or degree in civil engineering

4+ years' experience in civil construction

Competency in GPS and total station

Strong work ethic

Problem-solving skills

Effective communication skills

Ability to work outdoors

Valid Canadian driver’s license

Physically capable of manual labor
