MatchBox Consulting Group - Civil Foreman

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Civil Foreman for one of Western Canada's largest and most iconic developers. Responsibilities:

• Conduct safety and toolbox meetings
• Supervise on-site work to ensure efficiency, accurate coding of extra work orders (EWO) and timesheets
• Ensure machinery is in proper condition and coordinate maintenance
• Create and maintain daily progress reports and communicate significant updates
• Develop and drive construction schedules to meet milestones and deadlines
• Ensure construction complies with design specifications, drawings, and codes
• Verify work orders for accuracy and efficiency
• Assist in bid review for civil contracts
• Issue purchase orders, confirm receipt of materials, and return equipment as needed

Requirements:

• 5+ years of civil construction experience as a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent on projects such as utilities, industrial plants, roads, or dump/fill sites
• Knowledge of construction health, safety, and environmental practices
• Understanding of construction documents, scheduling, contracts, costs, and budgets
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
• Ability to identify potential issues and collaborate on solutions
• Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software
• Valid BC driver’s license is required
