Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Mississauga, Canada, is seeking an early-career Civil/Structural Engineer to perform analysis and design of structures, using software like ANSYS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, ETABS and SAFE. You will prepare design calculations for steel, concrete and masonry systems and support the project team.

Candidates should have a Civil Engineering degree, 0-3 years experience, be eligible for Engineer-in-Training registration, and be familiar with NBCC/CSA codes.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University with 0-3 years industry Design experience; Master's degree and above is an asset.
• Eligible to register as Professional Engineer in- Training, in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada.
• Knowledge of Analysis software commonly used in Civil/Structural engineering such as ANSYS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, SSASI, ETABS, SAFE etc.
• Sound knowledge of Civil/Structural Engineering principles.
• Must have working knowledge of NBCC, CSA and other applicable industry codes and standards.
• Eligible for Security Clearance through Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
• Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Ability to manage to work effectively under tight schedules and budget.
• Good oral and written communication skills is a minimum requirement.

Responsibilities
