Job summary

À L'Abordage Microbrasserie in Laval, QC is seeking a Structural Civil Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team. You will design and analyze reinforced concrete, steel, and wood structures, and prepare calculations, plans, and specifications.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with architects and contractors, conduct site surveys, and supervise inspections to ensure code compliance and quality throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in structural design.
• Proficiency in analysis and design software.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze reinforced concrete, steel, and wood structures according to applicable codes and standards.
• Produce structural calculations, plans, and specifications.
• Conduct inspections, assessments of existing structures, and site surveys.
• Ensure site monitoring: review of shop drawings, responses to inquiries, and compliance visits.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers from other disciplines, and contractors.
• Coordinate projects and advise clients.
