Job summary

JobsMedia.io in Laval, QC is seeking a Structural Civil Engineer to contribute to the design, analysis, and execution of diverse structural projects. You will serve as a technical reference for colleagues and clients while developing peers within a multidisciplinary team.

You will design reinforced concrete, steel, and wood structures, produce calculations and plans, and mentor junior engineers. A permanent, full-time role with a stimulating engineering environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Member in good standing of the OIQ.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in structural design.
• Proficiency in analysis and design software.
• Rigorous, autonomous and good communication skills.
• High level of spoken and written French; English knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze reinforced concrete, steel, and wood structures, according to applicable codes and standards.
• Produce structural calculations, plans, and specifications.
• Conduct inspections, assessments of existing structures, and site surveys.
• Ensure site monitoring: review of shop drawings, responses to inquiries, and compliance visits.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers from other disciplines, and contractors.
• Coordinate projects and advise clients.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.

The Role

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will participate in the design, analysis, and execution of structural projects. You are a technical point of reference for your colleagues and clients, and you contribute to the development of your peers.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and analyze reinforced concrete, steel, and wood structures, according to applicable codes and standards
