Job summary

Hatch is looking for a Civil Engineer to help shape some of the most ambitious mining, energy, and infrastructure projects in the industry — working out of our Mississauga office on a portfolio of ongoing, high-impact assignments.

In this role, you'll lead general civil engineering and design activities spanning site preparation, grading, drainage, roads, and paving for major mining and heavy industrial projects. Strong collaboration and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience in mining, energy or infrastructure.
• Civil Engineering degree from a recognized program.
• P.Eng in Ontario or eligibility preferred.
• Project management experience on mid- to large-scale projects.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior civil engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the civil project team through to completion on assigned projects.
• Own QA/QC of design calculations and contract documents.
• Take on discipline practice responsibility for your project scope.
• Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to stay integrated.
• Drive quality control through drawing and calculation verification.
