Job summary

Hatch in Mississauga, Canada, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Project Delivery Group’s metals and mining projects with a focus on management, technical leadership, and world-class design across pre-feasibility, feasibility, and detailed design phases.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, uphold safety, and drive value optimization while managing scopes, schedules and budgets and supporting proposals and client relations.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• 10+ years delivering studies or projects in mining/metals.
• 3+ years managing design engineering teams.
• Strong communication across all levels and with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of earned value management and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Embed Hatch safety values throughout opportunity identification, pursuit, and delivery.
• Develop project scopes, resource estimates, schedules and budgets.
• Provide active management of progress using earned value, cost performance and schedule performance metrics.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, controls, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Embed value optimization through design reviews and risk analyses.
• Support engagement progress reports and input into budgets and plans.
