Job summary

Associated Engineering, an employee-owned Canadian firm, invites an Intermediate Civil Engineer to join the Edmonton team. You will contribute to municipal infrastructure projects such as water mains, sewers, drainage, and roadways while coordinating with teams and clients.

Required is a Civil Engineering degree, registration or eligibility with APEGA, and a minimum of six years in municipal engineering, with hands-on design, scheduling, and construction experience.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Registered or eligible for Professional Engineer status with APEGA.
  • 6+ years of municipal engineering experience.
  • Experience with design, specifications, scheduling, cost estimating, tendering, construction, and commissioning of roads, drainage, water mains, sewers, and pumps.

Responsibilities

  • Work on municipal infrastructure projects including water mains, sewers, grading, drainage, and roadways.
  • Prepare proposals and advance projects through concept, design and construction phases.
  • Coordinate projects and manage client development and relationships.

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Civil Engineer (Intermediate) to join our team in our Edmonton office. In this role you will be working on municipal infrastructure projects, including water mains, sanitary sewers, site grading, drainage and roadways. You will provide technical expertise and project coordination while demonstrating resourcefulness, and adaptability in your role. You will have hands-on involvement in preparing proposals, advancing projects through the concept, design and construction phases. You will also be involved in managing and developing new clients.

Does this sound like you?
  • Undergraduate degree Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
  • 6+ years of municipal engineering experience.
  • Experience with design, specifications, scheduling, cost estimating, tendering, construction, and commissioning of roads, drainage, water mains, sewers, and pump stations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
  • Consulting experience is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel within Alberta.
