Associated Engineering is seeking an experienced Intermediate Civil Design Technologist in Edmonton to contribute to civil design and drafting for a variety of public and private sector projects. You will focus on earthworks, utilities, drainage, and roadways, while coordinating with teams and maintaining high-quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid office setting.

Qualifications

• A diploma in civil engineering or engineering design and drafting from an accredited technical institution.
• Registered, or eligible for registration with ASET.
• 5+ years experience designing using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Familiarity and design experience on civil infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Committed team player and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide civil-related design and drafting for diverse public and private projects (earthworks, utilities, drainage, roads).
• Communicate effectively and stay organized to meet deadlines in a dynamic team environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• The work will be performed for a variety of public and private sector clients with a focus on civil related design and drafting, including earthworks, utility piping, surface drainage, and roadways, in both rural and urban municipal settings.
• Excellent communication and strong organizational skills are required.
• We are seeking individuals who are capable of efficiently managing multiple tasks while meeting project deadlines and thrives in a dynamic team environment.
• The position will also provide you with autonomy as you will be required to complete tasks with minimal supervision and have the ability to move into a project CAD lead role.
