Job summary

Englobe is seeking a Civil Engineer/Technologist with deep civil design experience to join our Moncton area team. You will prepare designs for infrastructure projects, using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and support cost estimating while ensuring safety standards.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to deliver quality work on schedule and within client requirements. The role emphasizes health and safety, multi-project prioritization, and effective communication within a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
• Professional designation or eligibility with APEGNB or NBSCETT.
• Minimum 5 years of civil design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in municipal servicing and site development projects.
• Strong understanding of codes, standards, and design practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety practices.
• Experience with site inspections, hydraulic design, or modelling is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules.
• Prepare concept, detailed, and tender-ready designs for civil infrastructure.
• Develop designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including corridors, site grading and surfaces.
• Produce quantity takeoffs and support cost estimating.
• Perform constructability reviews and identify design improvements.
• Analyze project data and prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to meet requirements.
• Ensure designs align with applicable standards, specifications, and guidelines.
• Participate in client and project meetings.
• Support project delivery within budgets and timelines.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
