Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Director, Finance Business Partnering for a Canadian financial markets organization. You will partner with the CIO and Leadership to provide financial leadership, forecasting, and governance across technology spend, cloud costs, and capital projects.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of progressive FP&A experience
• CPA designation preferred (MBA/CFA considered)
• Experience in Technology Finance, IT Business Partnering, and FinOps
• Experience supporting cloud spend and tech investments
• Experience partnering with CIO/CTO/Infrastructure teams

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted strategic advisor to CIO and Leadership Team across technology spend
• Drive FinOps and forecast cloud costs (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Develop business cases and ROI tracking for major tech investments
• Oversee capitalization governance (IAS 38/IFRS) for software, R&D, and capex
• Lead consolidated planning: budgets, multi-year plans, rolling forecasts
• Shape technology cost allocation framework with FP&A
• Lead vendor spend analytics and contract evaluations
• Ensure accurate month-end and quarter-end reporting
