Job summary

Pancare Inc. in Canada is seeking Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to provide professional nursing care and coordinate delivery of chronic pain treatments to assigned patients.

You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, support patients and families, perform nursing assessments, triage, and help manage patient flow.

This role requires CPR/First Aid, current BLS, and standing with the College of Nurses; proficiency with Oscar medical software and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary nursing education required.
• CPR/First Aid certification; current BLS required.
• Good standing with the College of Nurses.
• Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment and facilities.
• Experience performing nursing assessments and triage.
• Proficiency with medical software (Oscar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and coordinate chronic pain treatments.
• Maintain patient relations through ongoing dialogue before, during and after treatment.
• Assist in patient assessments and record medical information.
• Support patient flow through communication with practitioners and staff.
• Establish priorities and ensure patient safety.
• Respond to emergencies to promote optimal outcomes.
• Document patient data for continuity of care.
• Assist with patient follow-up care and referrals.
