Accountabilities

• Incumbent may perform all, some, or similar range of duties as below.
• Remain at the Kettle for the full shift (until relieved), ensuring security of donations received.
• Respond to questions/queries from potential donors regarding SA ministries and programs.
• Present a positive image (well-groomed/dressed) and represent TSA well while on duty.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Must comply with all Salvation Army policies, procedures, and associated legislation.
• Treat the property of The Salvation Army with due care and caution.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY

• Reports directly to Christmas Kettle Coordinator/Christmas Kettle Assistant.
• Direct reports: n/a.

Working Conditions

• This is a temporary casual relief position based on no standard weekly hours of work; there are no guaranteed hours
• Must be willing and able to work shifts that may include days, afternoons, evenings, weekend shifts, and split shifts, Monday through Saturday. Applicable shifts include a ½ hour unpaid meal break.
• Flexibility in scheduling is required, as the hours may increase as per the Christmas Kettle Campaign operational requirements.
• Required to wear appropriate Salvation Army identification.
• Local travel may be associated with this position.
• Work environment is typically in malls/stores
• Standing for long periods will be required and exposure to cold weather.

Education, Qualifications and Certifications

Compensation

• The target hiring range for this position is $17.95 to $20.89 with a maximum of $23.82. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
