Mission: As a Chinese Chef at Newrest, you will prepare and present authentic Chinese dishes, ensuring high quality that meets airline standards and delights passengers globally.

Responsibilities:

1. Master and execute authentic Chinese dishes.
2. Understand and demonstrate menu requirements.
3. Prepare meats, fishes, pastas, side dishes, and garnishes following recipes.
4. Cook using roasting, frying, steaming, grilling, and baking techniques.
5. Handle food preparation tasks such as cleaning, peeling, chopping, and packaging.
6. Maintain food production records and ensure equipment functionality.
7. Ensure sanitation and post-service setup.
8. Report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions.
9. Assess food quality through tasting and smelling.
10. Monitor food temperatures to meet safety standards.
11. Study and prepare recipes assigned by the Executive Chef.
12. Coordinate meal preparations and manage prep lists.
13. Maintain recipe standards for consistency.
14. Assist with special menu preparations for client presentations.
15. Ensure kitchen equipment is operational and clean.
16. Use food safety and work safety equipment.
17. Manage portion control and production forecasting.
18. Practice good personal hygiene and grooming.
19. Communicate effectively with team members.
20. Comply with company standards, health, safety, and food safety protocols.
21. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Expertise in Chinese cuisine.
2. Experience in a reputable restaurant or catering environment.
3. Ability to stand for long periods.
4. Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
5. Knowledge of HACCP (training provided if needed).
6. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
7. Availability to work on weekends.
