Job summary

YMCA of Niagara is seeking a Program Coordinator – Child and Youth to plan, develop and deliver engaging programs for children and youth across our branches in Niagara. The role partners with internal and external stakeholders to grow memberships and ensure quality service delivery.

The position requires a post-secondary credential in recreation or related field, 3+ years of supervisory experience, CPR C/AED, and PVSC clearance.

Qualifications

• Post secondary diploma or degree in Recreation, Children’s Studies, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years related work experience.
• Minimum 3 years staff/volunteer supervisory experience.
• Current Intermediate First Aid with CPR C and AED.
• PVSC clearance issued for YMCA of Niagara.

Responsibilities

• Role models commitment and service excellence through direct delivery of quality programs.
• Develop and sustain good member, volunteer, staff, and partner relations daily.
• Plan and manage departmental budget(s).
• Coordinate recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Deliver programs that meet member needs and YMCA standards.
• Support YMCA philanthropic initiatives.
• Transition to leadership in YMCA Day Camp during school breaks and summer.
• Support branch operations and association initiatives.
• Maintain Y WAY standards and service excellence.
