Job summary

North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services in Timmins seeks an Investigation, Assessment and Ongoing Worker to provide a broad spectrum of children’s services, including preventive and child protection work, risk assessments and protection plans, with documentation for disposition.

The role requires bilingual English/French, excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, willingness to travel, and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• MSW or BSW preferred; College Diploma in Social Services may be considered
• Experience with children, youth and families is an asset
• Bilingualism (English/French) is required
• Candidate must possess a minimum G2 driver’s license or willing to obtain a G Class license with own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Provide a broad spectrum of children’s services including preventive and child protection work
• Complete risk assessments and develop protection plans
• Prepare required documentation for determining disposition
