Job summary

A community-focused employment agency in Ontario is looking for an Alternative Care Worker to provide protection and care for children, engaging in Alternative Care and Adoption duties per government regulations. Candidates should hold at least a two-year Human Services Diploma and ideally have experience with Anishinabek families. The role requires flexibility in hours and regular travel. Salary is between $30.93 and $40.36 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience with Anishinabek children, youth, individuals, families and communities.
• Preferably experience in Child Welfare.
• Satisfactory Criminal Records Search and Vulnerable Sector Screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection and care for children through Alternative Care and Adoption duties.

Skills

Ability to work flexible hours

Ability to travel regularly

Ability to act on an on-call basis

Possess a Class “G” Driver’s License

Clean driving record

Education

Human Services Worker Diploma (minimum two years)

Three-year BSW (preferred)
