Job summary

A community-focused organization in Thunder Bay is seeking an Alternative Care Worker to provide protection and care for Anishinabek children and families. This full-time position requires a minimum of a two-year Human Services Worker Diploma and relevant experience. Candidates should have a clean driving record and be available for flexible work hours. A commitment to diversity and preference for Anishinabek applicants is strongly encouraged. The position offers a wage range of $32.66 to $41.37 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year Human Services Worker Diploma required.
• Two years’ experience working with Anishinabek youth and families.
• Class 'G' Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection and care for children as an Alternative Care Worker.
• Follow provisions of the Child and Family Services Act.
• Work flexible hours and travel regularly.
