Tikinagan Child & Family Services is seeking a dedicated Child Care Worker to support services for children in the care of the agency.

The role follows the Mamow Obiki-ahwahsoowin Service Model, emphasizing collaboration with families and communities. Travel is required, and there is no remote work.

Qualifications

• Interest in working with children and youth.
• Experience with raising a family, working with children, or being part of community life in small remote communities.
• Willing to attend training as required.
• Knowledge of and lived experience with the Indigenous culture.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills and personal time management.
• Ability to speak Oji-cree or Ojibway is an asset.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Computer experience is an asset, but not required.
• Valid driver''s license or willingness to obtain driver's license.
• Travel is a requirement.
• No remote work available.
• No relocation assistance available.

Starting Salary$69,040.

Child Care Workers oversee services to children who are in the care of Tikinagan. The work of Child Care Workers is guided by our Mamow Obiki-ahwahsoowin Service Model - everyone working together to raise our children.
