Job summary

Tikinagan Child & Family Services in Northwestern Ontario is seeking dedicated Child Care Workers to oversee services for children in their care under the Mamow Obiki-ahwahsoowin Service Model.

The role requires travel, a valid driving license, willingness to attend training, strong verbal and written communication, and respect for Indigenous culture and confidentiality. Preference for First Nations ancestry is noted in the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Interest in working with children and youth.
• Experience with raising a family, working with children, or being part of community life in small remote communities.
• Willing to attend training as required.

• Basic verbal and written communication skills and personal time management.
• Ability to speak Oji-cree or Ojibway is an asset.

Starting Salary $69,040.

Child Care Workers oversee services to children who are in the care of Tikinagan. The work of Child Care Workers is guided by our Mamow Obiki-ahwahsoowin Service Model – everyone working together to raise our children.
