Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Milverton, Ontario is hiring a full-time cook to manage bulk meal prep and assist between Matheson West and Milverton locations. No evenings or weekends. You will prepare meals, maintain safety standards, and accommodate dietary needs for children.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handling Certification is required.
• Meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and Infant CPR are required.
• Experience cooking for large groups is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Organize orders for bulk food weekly and daily shopping.
• Prepare meals from a set menu with weekly recipes.
• Ensure safety and sanitation per Public Health guidelines.
• Understand and accommodate dietary restrictions for children.
• Assist lead cook at the Matheson West location for 2 hours daily.
• Transfer prepared food to Milverton location.
• Wash dishes after meals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-Time

Additional responsibilities: This position is split between Matheson West and Milverton. Cook will begin at Matheson West location and work together with Matheson’s cook to prepare for both centres. At 11:00am, cook will then transfer to Milverton and finish off at our location.

No evenings or weekends!

What will you be doing?

• Organizing orders for bulk food weekly and daily shopping as needed.
• Preparing meals from a set menu with recipes provided weekly.
• Ensuring safety and sanitization in the kitchen environment as per Public Health requirements.
• Understanding dietary restrictions in center for individual children.
• Working 2 hours at the Matheson West center to assist the lead cook
• Transferring food back to Milverton location
• Washing dishes after meals.
• Other duties as assigned.
