Job summary

The YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka is seeking casual Child Care Supply staff to support programs at Alliston, Beeton, and Tottenham. This role emphasizes safe supervision, play-based learning, and strong family communication within our YMCA community.

Applicants should be at least 18, have First Aid/CPR Level C or be willing to complete, and pass a Vulnerable Sector Check. Availability for specified shifts is required, with a commitment to flexibility and outdoor activities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current Standard/Intermediate First Aid and CPR (Level C) or complete certification within 90 days.
• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Up-to-date immunizations as per local health and Child Care rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to children (toileting/diaper changes, first aid, medications).
• Supervise a group of up to 15 children with active engagement and safety.
• Plan and implement play-based learning aligned with YMCA Curriculum.
• Communicate professionally with families, staff and volunteers.
• Provide an inclusive environment supporting children with diverse needs.
