Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Okotoks, AB is seeking a Centre Director to lead daily operations and work closely with teachers and families to provide a home-like environment for children in our care. You will recruit and develop staff, manage payroll and finances, ensure licensing compliance, and communicate with parents, while upholding provincial regulations and driving staff training.

Qualifications

• B.Ed. with a focus on Early Childhood or ECE Level 3 Certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of licensing and accreditation regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial management.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Up to date immunization and Health Assessment per local health requirements.
• CPR/First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Managing the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and province licensing.
• Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Managing administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understanding and enforcing all province regulations within the building.
• Implementing and ensuring completion of training for all staff members.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
• All other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

Requirements

• B.Ed. with a focus on Early Childhood OR Early Childhood Educator Level 3 Certification
