Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Okotoks is seeking a Centre Director to lead teachers and families, ensuring a safe, welcoming home-away-from-home for children. This 3-month temporary contract could become permanent, with a salary of 47,000–50,000 CAD per year.

You will oversee recruitment and staff development, licensing compliance, payroll and accounts, parent communications, and day-to-day operations, shaping a high-quality early learning program in accordance with provincial regulations.

Qualifications

• B.Ed. with a focus on Early Childhood or Early Childhood Educator Level 3 Certification.
• Demonstrated knowledge of licensing and accreditation regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial management.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Up to date immunization and Health Assessment per local Ministry of Health requirements.
• CPR/First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operation of the centre including recruitment and development of staff, management of policies and procedures, child safety, environmental health/hygiene, and province licensing.
• Ensure that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Manage administrative tasks such as processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general communications.
• Understand and enforce all province regulations within the building.
• Implement and ensure completion of training for all staff members.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
• All other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

Requirements:
