We are searching for an experienced Child andYouth Worker who will offer mental health and addictions counselling and casemanagement services to children and youth within the Misiway catchment areausing a traditional approach to care delivery.

Job Title: Childand Youth Worker SalaryRange: $48,000 - $63,800
Bring your proven Child and Youth Workerexperience to a challenging and rewarding role in our Community Health Centre.As our Child and Youth Worker you will provide mental health and addictionscounselling as well as case management services using a traditional Indigenousapproach. The Medicine Wheel and SevenGrandfather teachings will guide the direction of service and the tools used toprovide care. Care will be deliveredusing a variety of options such as one-on-one and group sessions, land-basedactivities and traditional ceremonies relevant to children and youth accordingto client need and preference.
As a successful candidate your qualificationswill include:
- Bachelor of Social Work or Social ServicesWork preferred. Diploma in socialservices field along with relevant work experience will be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in socialservices field working with Indigenous children and youth
- Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills
- Sensitivity to the needs of a multicultural communityincluding Indigenous youth and children
- Proficiency in the use of computers andvarious software applications
- Ability to organize time, set priorities andmulti-task in order to meet various timelines
- Ability to work flexible work hours to meetclient needs
- Class G driver’s license and use of a vehicleare required
- Ability to speak Cree or Ojibway isconsidered an asset
