Job summary

Bank of Montreal (BMO) seeks a COO Business Manager and Transformation Projects to partner with the CM COO and senior leadership, coordinating enterprise-wide initiatives and translating priorities into actionable plans.

You will drive strategic planning, governance, organizational effectiveness, and cross-functional execution across Capital Markets, Corporate Banking, Global Markets, and Risk, with a strong emphasis on leadership communications and accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience 10+ years in Capital Markets, Financial Services, Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Business Management, or related field.
• Deep understanding of Capital Markets businesses, products, clients, and operating environment.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and execute strategic priorities; monitor progress; coordinate annual business planning and leadership offsites.
• Executive Leadership Support: Prepare executive briefings, presentations, and leadership communications; ensure action-oriented meetings.
• Enterprise Coordination & Governance: Facilitate collaboration across Capital Markets and support regulatory, risk, and control initiatives.
• Organizational Effectiveness: Lead initiatives to improve operating effectiveness and manage change; partner with HR on talent management.
• Communications & Stakeholder Management: Develop executive communication strategies; build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Special Projects & Transformation: Lead high-priority strategic projects; coordinate cross-functional teams; support mergers and transformations.
