Job Title:Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location:Calgary, AB (global responsibility supporting operations in Canada, the United States, and Australia)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our Executive Leadership Team. The CFO is a trusted business partner to the CEO, Global President, and senior leadership team, providing financial stewardship, strategic insight, and leadership to support the Company’s growth, profitability, and long-term success.

This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury management, risk management, and corporate governance. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping business strategy while ensuring strong financial controls and operational excellence across the organization.

Financial Management

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

Treasury & Risk Management

• Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and cash management strategies.
• Oversee corporate insurance programs and risk management initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, audit, and reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
• Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors and advisors.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior management responsibilities.
• Demonstrated experience leading financial strategy and managing complex business operations.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and compliance.
• Experience working with executive teams and providing strategic business guidance.

Preferred

• Experience within engineering, technology, professional services, energy, industrial services, or project-based organizations.
• Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-country operations.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, financing activities, or significant business growth initiatives.
